Great list! Are you resident of the UK or did you travel in for each game? Also, did you use an agent or service to book all tee times?

That’s quite a list! Currently going through the same with current and former Open venues. So far I’ve managed Turnberry, Prestwick, Carnoustie and Birkdale. Hopefully doing Troon next year through a member. They are all getting a bit silly in price now though. It’s pricing the average golfer out in favour of the wealthy tourists.

St Andrews in reverse 😱 awesome. Also, what a day you had at Musselburgh! Golf feels easy *sometimes*.

Sorry to hear you got rained out at RCP, beast of a back 9. I added RCP, Prince’s, and Royal St. George’s this year, and Royal St. George’s earned the spot on top for me. My favorite links course in the world.

Gutted that you didn’t get to play Royal Cinque Ports. There’s been some great weather until the last week or so. I hope you enjoyed the clubhouse, at least.

Which was your favorite course in the zip? I’ve played Royal St George’s and can get on Carnoustie when I go back to UK in the spring/summer.
I loved RSG, but man the greens were hard and fast the time I played. Shot 90+ (ten years ago).
What did you think of princes? I loved that course.

Very cool!! I suspect I’d shoot the same as you (plus 20 strokes) 😂

If you’re in Ireland for Royal Co Down, try to get to play Royal Portmarnock. They’re trying to get to host an Open in the not too distant future…
Also some other amazing courses in Ireland, K Club has hosted a Ryder Cup, Adare Manor will, plus some others out there. Paul Mc Ginley did a great program, Golf’s Greatest Holes, travelling Ireland to play the best holes. Some amazing ones on that list. That’s what Im working through at the moment. Just not all in one year.

Kilspindie is the best of them. Fight me.

Wow, fantastic courses. How hard was getting tee times and average cost per round?

If you liked those courses you should check out Tralee

Nice list! What a great experience. I’m from the UK and have never played any of those courses!! However there are still many incredible links here that aren’t in that stellar list but are maybe more fun and often more scenic, challenging and atmospheric (I’d imagine). But you only have a year!

Wow man! Musselburgh 72. Nice work. Good scores all over. Of If I shoot an 85 at St Andrew’s I’ll be a happy man.

I have tickets to go to the open next year. Any suggestions for a moderately affordable course around Liverpool?
